February 23, 2008

Canadian black metallers WOLVEN ANCESTRY have scheduled the following dates:

Apr. 04 - Belleville, ON - The Bohemian
Apr. 05 - Barrie, ON - The Foundation
Apr. 06 - Toronto, ON - The Kathedral
Apr. 25 - Sudbury, ON - Sudbury Metal Feast 4
May 18 - Sudbury, ON - Jubilee Centre (w/ CATAMENIA)

WOLVEN ANCESTRY vocalist Lord Defiler recently issued the following update:

"WOLVEN ANCESTRY has been busy the last couple of months writing new material for our second album which has yet to be titled. Most of the songs will be lyrically themed, however, a couple of the songs will be in more of the same tradition from the first album. Working songtitles so far include 'A Trail Of Blood In Snow', 'March Forth Under Tortured Skies', and 'A Life Forgotten With Time'. The new songs are a lot more matured and intense, however, still contain the same epic feeling from the first release. WOLVEN ANCESTRY fans will not be disappointed, to say the least. Other songs are near completed and the album will be recorded at guitarist and WOLVEN ANCESTRY composer Fraust's studio, Sardonic Moon Studios in Sudbury Ontario.

"We have also been quite busy working on a video for the song 'A Bloodline Of Immortal Passion Bestowed The Harmony Of Man And Wolf' from our demo/debut 'The Wrath Of Gaia'. We have access to great video recording and editing equipment and will be produced ourselves just as our albums are. Expect a WOLVEN ANCESTRY like you have never seen before..."

Blending elements from the entire spectrum of black metal, including melodic and folk elements, WOLVEN ANCESTRY has shared the stage with many great acts, including ROTTING CHRIST, 1349, ENSIFERUM, GOATWHORE, NACHTMYSTIUM, AVERSE SEFIRA, LENG TCH'E, FUCK THE FACTS, PROFUGUS MORTIS, CRYPTIK HOWLING, GOTHERFALL, NEFASTUS DIES, WILL OF THE ANCIENTS, and many more.
