WORLD WAR III: Band Lineup For Key Club Performance Revealed

February 6, 2009

WORLD WAR III, the band led by singer Mandy Lion, is scheduled to perform at the Key Club in West Hollywood, California on Saturday, February 28. The group's lineup for the show will consist of the following musicians:

Mandy Lion - Vocals
Kurt James (STEELER, BLACK SHEEP, BLACK BART) - Guitar
Jimmy Bain (RAINBOW, DIO) - Bass
James Kottak (SCORPIONS, KINGDOM COME) - Drums

Commented Lion: "Kurt James is a cult guitar hero who came into prominence by replacing Yngwie Malmsteen in the band STEELER. He has also played with multitude of Los Angeles-based bands such as STRYPER, BLACK SHEEP, BLACK BART, etc. He appeared on the album 'Dr. Mastermind' with Deen Castronovo on drums and Matt McCourt on bass and vocals.

"On bass we have the one and only Jimmy Bain of RAINBOW and DIO fame! Without a doubt the greatest rock bassist alive. And on drums we have super drummer James Kottak of the SCORPIONS! I am honored to be sharing the stage with these gentlemen, to say the least.

"As if that was not enough, there are some rumors going around that one of rock's greatest legends will join me on stage for a couple of songs. Who it is, I will not say, but those of you who know me already know this person to be my absolute favorite rocker out there. Maybe I will drop a couple of hints as we go along."

Lion recently collaborated with music producer Mickey James (of CRISS ANGEL fame) on some of his new material.

WWIII's first album in 12 years, "When God Turned Away", was released in 2003. The CD featured Lion, co-producer Joe Floyd on guitar, Geezer Montez on bass and Sledge on drums.
