Worldwide Response To ROCKLAHOMA 'Amazing'

April 4, 2007

Only one week after announcing plans for Rocklahoma, the largest '80s rock festival of its kind to ever be organized, an onslaught of fans worldwide have purchased tickets and made their plans to travel to Oklahoma. Fans from throughout Europe, Australia, South Africa, Canada and 32 states in the U.S. have purchased their advanced tickets and flooded blogs with Rocklahoma discussions. The momentum of increasing interest and ticket sales may indicate that even with the festival grounds' 50,000-plus capacity, fans waiting to buy their tickets until the last minute may come up empty-handed, said Dave Giencke, Director of Operations for Catch the Fever Music Festivals.

"It's an amazing response. People from all over the world are wondering where Pryor, Oklahoma is. When I googled 'Rocklahoma,' this one-of-a-kind music festival and the city of Pryor are mentioned in over 39,000 web sites on the worldwide web," Giencke said. "All I can say is anyone that wants to be a part of Rocklahoma better get their tickets now it appears Rocklahoma will exceed all expectations in attendance."

A three-day festival, scheduled for July 13–15, already has a line-up that surpasses any previous festival of '80s rock. With VH1 Classic host Eddie Trunk serving as Master of Ceremonies, Rocklahoma organizers have confirmed the following line-up:

Friday, July 13:

POISON
RATT
QUIET RIOT
SLAUGHTER
Y&T

Saturday, July 14:

VINCE NEIL
DOKKEN
WINGER
WARRANT
FIREHOUSE
ENUFF Z NUFF
FASTER PUSSYCAT
BULLETBOYS
BANG TANGO

Sunday, July 15:

JACKYL
GREAT WHITE
L.A. GUNS

Even as beginning ticket sales were exceeding expectations and word of Rocklahoma was spreading quickly, more bands were joining the lineup.

"Fans that have already purchased tickets have a bonus being added. Rocklahoma will be announcing four additional bands to the lineup in the coming weeks," Giencke said.

Discounted tickets for Rocklahoma are available through Monday April 9 and are: $30 for one day general admission, $70 for three day general admission and $225 VIP Tickets, good for all three days, with VIP seating and all the beer and food you can eat. Tickets can be purchased by calling toll free (866) 310-2288 or online at www.rockfeverfest.com. Rocklahoma will take place at the Catch the Fever Festival Grounds, four miles north of Pryor, OK, off Highway 69. Event grounds and lodging information can also be found at the website.

Presented by Rock Fever and Miller Lite, Rocklahoma gives people from all over the world an opportunity to join in the celebration of Oklahoma's one hundred years of statehood. The state is marking the Oklahoma Centennial with events taking place across the state during 2007 and culminating with Oklahoma Statehood Day on November 16, Giencke explained.
