WRAITH OF THE ROPES' HEARST Launches 'Doom Metal' Solo Project
November 16, 2006E.M. Hearst, guitarist, bassist, co-programmer and electronic percussionist/drummer for Hamilton, Ohio-based WRAITH OF THE ROPES, has issued the following update:
"I have started a 'traditional doom metal' solo project... I'm calling it HERMIT. It's influenced by all the classic doom bands like SABBATH, PENTAGRAM, VITUS, REVELATION, etc... with my own touch of madness thrown in. I'd like to collaborate with some other doom musicians on this project.... especially vocalists (in the traditional sense, not growlers or screamers)... so if you have a good voice and are interested let me know. If I can't find anyone, I'll continue doing the vocals myself. I just finished the first song, called 'Deborah'... you can download the high-quality (320kbps) MP3 here."
WRAITH OF THE ROPES recently posted an MP3 preview of its upcoming second album, "Demonic Influence", at the group's official web site. Check out a three-minute sample of the song "Wraith of the Ropes" at this location. An early 2007 release via Firebox Music is expected.
