WYCKED SYNN Joined By Vocalist BOB MITCHELL

January 29, 2011

In July 2003, the metal world saw the release of WYCKED SYNN's debut album, "The Vision", on the now-defunct Chavis Records label. Since the release of that CD, many changes have occurred, not only within the band's lineup but with its musical approach as well.

In 2010, WYCKED SYNN guitarist and founding member Ken Orth recruited internationally renowned rock/metal vocalist Bob Mitchell (SLEEPY HOLLOW, THE BOB MITCHELL BAND) to be the group's new frontman. What comes of this is an amazing collaboration between the two that has resulted in tracks of pure metal mayhem.

Mitchell states: "Ken Orth joins Jim Mooney (ATTACKER) and Steve Stegg (SLEEPY HOLLOW) as the greatest songwriting partner a singer could ever ask for.

"Ken and I worked very hard on our songs and I am certain that all fans of heavy metal will, most assuredly, be pleased with what they will hear from WYCKED SYNN."

Although WYCKED SYNN has retained its melodic approach, the band's forthcoming EP, "Anger Rising", follows "a much darker and heavier direction than its predecessor," according to a press release.

All of the music for "Anger Rising" was recorded during 2010 and Mitchell will enter the studio on May 10 to lay down the vocal tracks for the effort. During the sessions, Mitchell will also record the vocal tracks for WYCKED SYNN's forthcoming full-length album, "Hell Bound", which is due in 2012.

"Anger Rising" will be released in October through German vinyl specialists High Roller Records.
