XERATH Members Launch PRIMER

Vocalist Richard Thomson of U.K.-based experimental/progressive extreme metallers XERATH has launched a new progressive rock project called PRIMER. The group, which also features Thomson's XERATH bandmates Owain Williams and Michael Pitman, draws its musical influences from a wide range of genres and artists, including FRANK ZAPPA, RUSH, YES, PORCUPINE TREE, RIVERSIDE and OPETH.

PRIMER has completed a five-song EP entitled "Things We Tell Ourselves" and plans to begin playing live in the New Year.
