Y&T, L.A. GUNS, FASTER PUSSYCAT Confirmed For 'Rock Against Diabetes' Charity Event

Y&T, L.A. GUNS, FASTER PUSSYCAT and BANG TANGO are among the confirmed performers for the second annual Rock Against Diabetes charity event, set to take place August 23 at Deep Rock Drive in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rock Against Diabetes was created in early 2007 by music writer/web site and newly diagnosed diabetes sufferer Darrin Buchanan, with the initial live event taking place on June 23, 2007 in Vancouver, B.C. Seeing the interest that music brought to people on a day to day basis on his web site, Darrin decided to create awareness, and try to raise funds for the Canadian Diabetes Association. The evening consisted of a large live auction, raffling of guitars and other items from Playstation, Atari, Minarik guitars and Molson breweries. The show was headlined by Eric Martin, the former frontman of platinum-selling act MR. BIG, and featured four support acts. The event brought a lot of awareness to the fact that diabetes is a very large threat to an ever growing amount of the North American population, the goal of the entire evening.
