YEAR OF DESOLATION Finalizes Touring Plans

September 19, 2006

Indiana thrashers YEAR OF DESOLATION have finalized touring plans well into November. Meeting up with A LOVE ENDS SUICIDE and labelmates BURN IN SILENCE for nearly a month, YEAR OF DESOLATION will continue touring into December alongside long-running death metal band INCANTATION, with more information on that tour to be revealed soon.

After forming in 2001, YEAR OF DESOLATION released its debut album, "Your Blood, My Vendetta", in 2004 before signing with Prosthetic in early 2006. The band's self-ttiled follow-up effort was recorded at King's Basement Studio in North Carolina in July with producer Jamie King (BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD) and is scheduled for release in early 2007. A rough mix of one of the record's tracks, "Flavor of the Weak", is available on the band's MySpace page. The song appears on the Prosthetic Records sampler packaged with the current issue of Metal Hammer magazine.
