YEAR OF DESOLATION To Enter Studio This Weekend

July 7, 2006

Indiana's YEAR OF DESOLATION will hit the studio with Jamie King (BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD) this weekend to begin tracking their self-titled second album, due in early 2007 via Prosthetic Records. Immediately upon completion of recording, YEAR OF DESOLATION will hit the road, playing a few regional shows before headlining the "Cultivating The Masses Tour 2006" alongside CERBERUS and FOREVER IN TERROR.

After forming in 2001, YEAR OF DESOLATION released its debut album, "Your Blood, My Vendetta", in 2004 before signing with Prosthetic in early 2006. "Teaming up with Prosthetic will be a good investment for both band and label," guitarist John Hehman previously said. "We've got plenty to offer and so do they. When the self-titled album drops, everyone's going to know that real metal isn't dead. That's what their goal is, and that's exactly what our goal is, too."
