10 YEARS: New Demo Track Posted Online

May 22, 2007

Knoxville, Tennessee's 10 YEARS has posted a demo version of a new track, entitled "All Your Lies", on its MySpace page. "[This] is just one of the many, many [new] songs that we have kicking around right now," explained drummer Brian Vodinh. "Since there are so many amazing and dedicated 10 YEARS fans out there we decided it would be a nice little treat for you guys to hear a demo and get an idea of what we have been up to."

In other news, 10 YEARS has tapped producer Rick Parashar (PEARL JAM, NICKELBACK, ALICE IN CHAINS, ROB ZOMBIE) to helm its sophomore album, which is expected to be recorded this summer for a late 2007 release. "Part of looking for a producer is taking all the records that influence you and have made an impact on your life and seeing who produced it and made those albums come to life," stated Vodinh. "Rick played a major role in producing bands coming out of the Seattle grundge scene in the '90s and how can you deny a guy who has worked with the likes of SOUNDGARDEN, ALICE IN CHAINS, and PEARL JAM!?"

Also on the 10 YEARS-related front, Vodinh has posted the following bit of information via the group's MySpace page:

"The other day Jesse [Hasek, vocals] and I are sitting in my little makeshift studio at my house and my phone rings, it's a weird number, I usually don't answer numbers I don't know but this time I did for some reason. On the other end was Dean DeLeo, the guitar player from STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and now ARMY OF ANYONE. Very random, very cool. We chatted for a bit, Jesse and I told him how we are huge STP fans and blah blah blah. Next thing you know he is asking us to come out to L.A. to jam with him and his brother, Robert. Robert was the bass player for STP and now ARMY OF ANYONE. So again, to make a long story short, we will be heading to sunny Malibu to meet with those guys in a couple weeks and just have a creative session. Toss ideas back and forth, jam, whatever. Should be amazing. Ya never know, a song might end up on our new album that comes from this collaboration."

10 YEARS' debut album, "The Autumn Effect", came out in 2005.
