YGGDRASIL Begins Recording New Album, Announces New Members

October 23, 2010

Swedish folk metal band YGGDRASIL has issued the following update:

"We have now begun the recording of our third full-length album, tentatively due to be released in the spring of 2011 through Grand Master Music. So far about half of the guitars have been recorded at Grand Master Audio in Sweden.

"We would also like to take this opportunity to announce two new members into our ranks. Benny Olsson on guitar/backing vocals and Jacob Blecher (PANDEMONIUM) on drums. Both Benny and Jacob have been helping us out live on stage since 2008 and we are pleased to have both of them appear on their first YGGDRASIL recording."

YGGDRASIL 2010 is:

Magnus Wohlfart - Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards
Gustaf Hagel - Bass, Vocals
Benny Olsson - Guitar, Vocals
Jacob Blecher - Drums

YGGDRASIL earlier in the year parted ways with the German record label Det Germanske Folket.

YGGDRASIL's latest album, "Vedergällning", came out in early 2009. The CD was recorded at Endarker Studios in Norrköping, Sweden with producer Magnus Devo Andersson (MARDUK bassist).

YGGDRASIL's debut album, "Kvällningsvindar över Nordrönt Land", was recorded in 2005 but didn't see the light of day until the end of 2007 via Det Germanske Folket.
