YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Singer Preparing For Japanese Tour
December 7, 2005YNGWIE MALMSTEEN singer Doogie White has posted the following tour update on his official web site:
"Well, team, here we are the penultimate gig of the USA tour and we are in Nashville. The guests on the tour have been ORANGE SKY and they are nothing short of awesome every night. We made some new friends there.
"Sorry to report no amusing stories since the fly incident. We are starting to rehearse different songs during soundcheck for the Japan tour. This is more to keep us fresh and alive than anything. We have been changing the set every night on this tour but need another change. Looking forward to catching up with old friends in Japan. Then the long sleepless nights wandering hotel corridors. See 'Lost in Translation' for an idea of what happens."
YNGWIE MALMSTEEN is touring in support of his two new projects, "Unleash the Fury" and "Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra" DVD.
"Unleash the Fury", which hit stores July 26 through Spitfire Records, has been receiving rave reviews from critics and fans alike and has even been hailed as one of his best works to date. Also released this year was Yngwie's long-awaited "Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra" DVD, which was filmed in 2001 with the New Japan Philharmonic, conducted by Taizo Takemoto. Malmsteen has performed his concerto suite live with an orchestra just seven times. An interview with Malmsteen is included as a special bonus feature.
