You Won't See This At SUFFOCATION Shows In U.S.

March 10, 2012

Video footage of a Russian female SUFFOCATION fan making her way to the stage during the band's March 7 headlining concert in Moscow and flashing her breasts to the audience can be seen below (around 20 seconds into the clip).

SUFFOCATION frontman Frank Mullen was unable to make the show and was temporarily replaced by Bill Robinson of DECREPIT BIRTH.

The group's setlist was as follows:

02. Effigy Of The Forgotten
03. Catatonia
04. Pierced From Within
05. Liege Of Inveracity
06. Abomination Reborn
07. Funeral Inception
08. Breeding The Spawn
09. Jesus Wept
10. Torn Into Enthrallment
11. Suspended In Tribulation

In a recent interview with Russia's HitKiller.com, SUFFOCATION confirmed that it has split with drummer Mike Smith and replaced him with Dave Culross, who previously played on the band's "Despise The Sun" CD. The group explained, "Mike and the rest of us had serious differences of opinions. Mike did formally resign from the band, and he has since been replaced with Dave Culross."

When asked about the band's future, SUFFOCATION said, "For all the people who think the band is splitting up, it's NOT, except for the one change we already mentioned above. As far as our next move, the new CD is in the pre-production stage and it kills! We would say some of the best material to date. The band right now as a whole can't wait to get this out to our fans. It is scheduled to be released on Nuclear Blast in the fall of 2012."

In the February 2012 issue of Decibel magazine, SUFFOCATION bassist Derek Boyer stated about the upcoming CD, "We're in the pre-production stage [and are] currently working on final arrangements, lyrical placement and content."

He added, "Each album is an evolution process. As always, we take the key elements that are SUFFOCATION, add current feelings and outside influences, the begin collaborating. We're very happy with the direction we're headed!"
