YOUR DEMISE: 'Burnt Tongues' Video Available

April 9, 2009

"Burnt Tongues", the new video from the St. Albans, U.K. hardcore/metal mob YOUR DEMISE, can be viewed below. The track comes off the band's new album, "Ignorance Never Dies", which is scheduled for release on April 20 April through Visible Noise Records. The clip was filmed in and around the band's hometown, with the live footage taken at local venue, The Pioneer, where the group has played countless memorable shows over the years, adding an emotional significance to the live sections. Whilst filming the story part of the video, involving kidnappings and angry balaclavered henchmen with baseball bats, the band and film crew attracted some unwanted attention. Vocalist George Noble explains: "We had six squad cars come out in total and at one point a police helicopter was hovering overhead as two of us were tied up, covered in blood and getting dragged out of a car, God knows what they must have been thinking."

The video was directed in March by Stuart Birchall, with video treatment by YOUR DEMISE. The crime document feel of the video ties in with the artwork of the new album.

YOUR DEMISE started out as a SUICIDAL TENDENCIES cover band, and recorded its first demo, "Your Days Are Numbered", in 2005. The group's self-financed debut album, "You Only Make Us Stronger", was released in 2006. Following positive vibes around this record and countless European tours, the "Blood Stays On The Blade" EP was recorded and released via Thirty Days Of Night Records in early 2008.
