ZAKK WYLDE Offers His Thoughts On OZZY OSBOURNE's Autobiography

March 29, 2010

Artisan News Service spoke to Zakk Wylde (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, ex-OZZY OSBOURNE) in February about his thoughts on Ozzy Osbourne's autobiography, "I Am Ozzy".

"Ozzy's new book is amazing, man," Zakk said. "Put it this way — if you want a good laugh and everything like that, it's amazing. I've heard a batch of the stories through the years, but there's a batch of stuff in there that I hadn't heard before. It's a great book, man, without a doubt."

"I Am Ozzy" debuted at No. 2 on the New York Times' hardcover non-fiction best-seller list. The book was published on January 25 in the U.S., nearly two years after it was first expected to arrive. "I Am Ozzy" chronicles the legendary metal icon's life from his working-class beginnings in Birmingham, England to his initial fame with BLACK SABBATH to his massive solo career and forays into television.

Ozzy parted ways last year with Wylde, who has played on every Ozzy album and almost every tour since 1988. Zakk has since been replaced by Gus G. of FIREWIND.
