ZAKK WYLDE Takes Park In Impromptu Jam In Seattle

February 4, 2007

The following item was submitted by a BLABBERMOUTH.NET visitor:

"After three hours on air (with 'The Men's Room') at 99.9 KISW The Rock of Seattle [Friday night, February 2], and a great two-song acoustic session, Zakk [Wylde of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY] and company headed to El Corazon where he was supposed to just sit and autograph for a couple hours. He never made it to his station in the corner of El Corazon. He instead, went on stage where equipment was set up for the local metal show which was to take place after his time there. He started telling hilarious stories about Ozzy then proceded to tell everyone it was time to 'jam.' He grabbed part of the opening band and starting playing JIMI HENDRIX tunes for the next two hours. The few hundred people seemed to be much more happy with an impromptu show than an autographed CD."

As previously reported, Zakk Wylde will be the special guest of Full Metal Jackie on Indie 103.1 FM's "Chaos" metal show this Sunday night (February 4). According to Jackie, "Zakk will be bringing some friends, and some gear — and he's gonna play for us! He will also be bringing me a bullseye guitar which he will sign AND — I'm gonna be giving it away."

You can listen to the program live on the Internet between 10:00 p.m. and midnight PST (between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. EST) at this location.

Zakk Wylde and fellow BLACK LABEL SOCIETY guitarist Nick Catanese kicked off a radio station acoustic tour Thursday (February 1). They are going to be visiting your local radio stations in support of the new radio single, "Blood Is Thicker Then Water", from the latest BLACK LABEL SOCIETY release, "Shot to Hell". In addition, Zakk is going to be heading over to the Hard Rock Café in each city where they will be inducting Zakk and Nick's guitars into the café. There will also be a live acoustic performance by the biggest berserkers of them all — Zakk Wylde and the Evil Twin Nick Catanese! To top it all off, you will get the chance to meet and have dinner with Zakk at the Hard Rock after his performance. Listen to your local radio stations for more info on how to win this amazing opportunity. (Contesting will be determined by each individual radio station, so listen close and keep checking for details. For exact times/details on the Hard Rock shows, check with the individual Cafés, or head over to their web site, www.hardrock.com.)
