ZAKK WYLDE Talks Blood Clots On X106.3 WAMX; Audio Available

October 6, 2010

On October 5, Brandon Woolum of the X106.3 WAMX radio station in Huntington, West Virginia conducted an interview with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY mainman Zakk Wylde. You can now listen to the chat using the audio player below.

Wylde was admitted to a Nebraska hospital last Thursday to receive treatment for a blood-clotting condition in his leg. The September 30 BLACK LABEL SOCIETY concert at the Anchor Inn in Omaha, Nebraska and the October 1 gig in Clive, Iowa were called off, but the group is planning to finish up the rest of its current "Black Label Berzerkus" tour with CLUTCH, CHILDREN OF BODOM and 2 CENTS.

Wylde was first hospitalized with blood clots in August 2009, causing BLACK LABEL SOCIETY to drop off last year's "Pedal To The Metal Tour".

Zakk has scheduled appearances at three Best Buy locations during the band's current "Black Label Berzerkus" tour. Wylde will appear from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at each location to promote his latest Gibson and Epiphone signature guitars; the new BLACK LABEL CD, "Order Of The Black"; and the current tour.

As previously reported, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY recently shot a video for the song "Overlord" with directors Eric Zimmerman and Nik Jamgocyan of Master Cylinder. The track comes off the band's new album, "Order Of The Black", which sold around 33,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to enter The Billboard 200 chart at position No. 4.

Zimmerman and Jamgocyan previously worked with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY on the "Fire It Up" and "Blood Is Thicker Than Water" clips as well as the "Doom Troopin' Live - The European Invasion" DVD.

"Order Of The Black" was released in North America via E1 Music. The CD features four unique covers designed by Zakk Wylde himself — one for each territory: North America, Europe, Asia and Australia/New Zealand.

An e-card for "Order Of The Black" is available at this location.
