ZAO Working On New Album

July 10, 2008

Greensburg, Pennsylvania's ZAO has issued the following update:

"There is a new record written and we will be recording in the next few weeks. We are really excited about the new material and hope to have a new song up soon. Jeff Gretz [drums] is back with us and will be playing on the record."

ZAO's most recent album, "The Fear That Keeps Us Here" (2006),had the biggest two weeks of any ZAO album in the band's history. The CD debuted on Billboard magazine's Top New Artist Chart and Top Hard Music Chart. Recorded by the legendary Steve Albini (NIRVANA, HIGH ON FIRE, NEUROSIS),"The Fear..." recalls the dark experimentalism of fan favorite "Liberate Te Ex Inferis" fused with the rock n' roll of "Self-Titled" and "Parade Of Chaos" and the heavy metal mastery of "The Funeral Of God".
