ZOMBI Member Scores Horror Movie Documentary

January 10, 2007

ZOMBI bass/synth player Steve Moore has contributed the official movie score to "Horror Business", a documentary about guerrilla horror filmmakers and the culture that drives them to pursue their dreams.

"Horror Business", which has seen select viewings across the country at premiers and movie festivals, will see its DVD release March 13 through Image Entertainment. The outrageously entertaining documentary follows filmmaker Christopher P. Garetano on a two-year journey to discover what possesses people to become horror filmmakers. Armed with nothing but a camera and a microphone, Garetano visits independent filmmakers on and off their sets. Notable interviews include Mark Borchardt ("American Movie") and Dave Gebroe ("Zombie Honeymoon"),along with monster movie personalities like Herschell Gordon Lewis ("Blood Feast"),Joe Bob Briggs (cult film critic and author),and Sid Haig ("Spider Baby", "The Devil's Rejects"). "Horror Business" is a timeless essay of popcorn generation nostalgia and behind-the-scenes moments that just may prove "movie making really is no way to spend a life."

Samples of Moore's score for "Horror Business" can be heard via his MySpace page.

In other news, Moore guests on the upcoming PANTHERS release "The Trick", due out April 10 on Vice Records.
