IRON MAIDEN: Manager's Updates From The Road Available
December 7, 2006Norwegian IRON MAIDEN fan site MaidenNorway.com has uploaded several brand new tour diary updates from MAIDEN manager Rod Smallwood. Read his reports from Sweden, Denmark and Tokyo at MaidenNorway.com.
As previously reported, IRON MAIDEN's "Different World" single entered the Billboard Hot Singles Sales chart at position No. 7. The Hot 100 Singles Sales (also known as Singles Sales) is a chart released weekly by Billboard magazine in the United States. It measures sales of commercial singles and is one of three component charts, along with the Hot 100 Airplay and the Hot Digital Songs, that determine the chart positions of singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
MAIDEN's first-ever commercial single release in the U.S., "Different World" features Radio 1 Zane Lowe's "Legends" session of "Hallowed Be Thy Name" and "The Trooper" as B sides. These tracks have previously been used as B sides to "The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg", which was released in Europe in August. Although it was not eligible for the U.K. chart, it reached No 1 in Spain, Sweden, Finland and Hungary.
IRON MAIDEN's new album, "A Matter of Life and Death", has sold 138,000 copies in the United States since its Sept. 5 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
