It's Official: GUNS N' ROSES To Play Troubadour Tonight

The most anticipated music event of the millennium is set! GUNS N' ROSES will play its first live gig of 2016 on the hallowed ground where they started, the Troubadour, tonight, Friday, April 1. Doors at 10 p.m.! The show will mark the first time singer Axl Rose and guitarist Slash have performed together since 1993.

Limited tickets are available for purchase beginning at 12 p.m. PT at Gibson Brands on Sunset (formerly Tower Records) located at the old Tower Records store at 8801 Sunset Blvd. GUNS N' ROSES has gone back to retro pricing with tickets at $10, limit one per person. Cash only! Purchasers will receive a non-transferable wrist band at point of sale.

While in the queue, fans are invited to start the celebratory day with a trip down memory lane in the venue where guitarist Slash used to work (GN'R amateur historians also know singer Axl Rose worked across the street at the now-defunct Tower Video),as the old Tower store will be transformed into a complete interactive GN'R experience with a memorabilia exhibit curated by Blaine Halvorson, designer of MadeWorn. The exhibit opens at 12 p.m. and will include historic items such as members' classic attire, original artwork, personal awards and more. Additionally, GN'R exclusive merchandiser Bravado will be onsite with a pop-up shop featuring exclusive merchandise to celebrate the April 1 Troubadour appearance.

A marquee above the Troubadour today reads "Not In This Lifetime," apparently referring to the response Axl Rose gave to a TMZ cameraman in 2012 when asked if there is any chance of GUNS N' ROSES doing a reunion tour with the "full lineup."

GUNS N' ROSES has still not officially announced the lineup of musicians who will take the stage beyond Rose, Slash and bassist Duff McKagan. But a photo posted at the group's official Twitter account sent fans into a frenzy. The picture of Ahead brand drumsticks fueled speculation that original drummer Steven Adler was returning to the group, especially after past and present GUNS drummers Matt Sorum and Frank Ferrer both denied they used the sticks.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, fans first approached Sorum on Twitter, with the one-time GUNS drummer confirming that he used Ahead sticks from 1991 to 1993 but did not currently use them.

Ferrer also responded to the image, saying the Ahead ones weren't his and that he used Vater sticks.

That left Adler, who has remained silent about the GUNS reunion since it was announced and also did not comment on the photo of the sticks. Adler, like Sorum, has used Ahead sticks in the past but not recently.

Recent reports have suggested that Ferrer, who has been in the GUNS lineup since 2006, will play the bulk of the show at the band's upcoming dates, although Adler could appear as a special guest.

GUNS N' ROSES has six more shows scheduled in April: two in Las Vegas, two in Mexico City and two at the Coachella Music And Arts Festival in Indio, California. The band has also announced the cities for a 21-show North American tour, although dates and venues have yet to be confirmed.
