NICKELBACK Frontman Explains 'No Fixed Address' Album Title
November 13, 2014NICKELBACK is streaming its entire new album, titled "No Fixed Address", in full at iTunes less than a week ahead of the record's November 17 release date. Frontman Chad Kroeger told The Pulse Of Radio that title of the record was inspired by the way it was recorded. "We kind of did it all over the place," he said. "I mean, we were in Vancouver, we were in L.A., we were in Maui, we had a portable rig with us on a European tour and we were recording stuff there. So I mean, that's why we've titled the album 'No Fixed Address'."
The 11-song set is the first through the Canadian act's new deal with Republic Records.
The first single from the album, "Edge Of A Revolution", has already topped the rock radio airplay chart.
The new set will follow up 2011's platinum-selling "Here And Now". That album included the singles "Bottoms Up" and "This Means War".
The band will launch a six-month North American tour on February 14, 2015 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
NICKELBACK has sold more than 50 million records worldwide since breaking through with its 2001 album, "Silver Side Up".
Chad Kroeger formed NICKELBACK in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, with his brother Mike on bass and guitarist Ryan Peake. Drummer Daniel Adair joined in 2005.
NICKELBACK has been nominated for five Grammys, three American Music Awards, 12 Juno awards and were named "Group Of The Decade" by Billboard magazine in 2009.
