ABORTED To Tour Europe With THE ACACIA STRAIN, SALT THE WOUND

March 11, 2009

Death metal butchers ABORTED will embark on their first European headlining tour in May.

Commented the band: "We are proud to announce our first European headline run, which will go from end of May until June 21, ending at France's renowned Hellfest festival. The tour will include several other festivals and the bands we will be sharing the stage with on this run are: THE ACACIA STRAIN (USA) and SALT THE WOUND (USA). The tour has been booked by our new booking agency Avocado Booking and will also take us through Russia for the first time!

"Needless to say, we are damn excited about all this and to see everyone out there on the road once more, make sure you come out and share the bloodshed with us! A new video for 'The Enterrement Of An Idol' has also been finished, shot live by Steven Henry, and edited by Svencho [vocalist Sven de Caluwé] and will be premiered soon! So, stay tuned!"

Holland's FaceCulture recently conducted an interview with Sven de Caluwé. Watch the first part of the chat below.

ABORTED last fall wrapped up a successful U.S. run with CARCASS, SUFFOCATION, 1349 and ROTTEN SOUND.

Released in June 2008 via Century Media Records, ABORTED's latest album, "Strychnine.213", combines the band's undeniable live energy with a powerhouse production from Eric Rachel (THE RED CHORD, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, GOD FORBID) and a "fuck-you, rock-and-roll" approach to the overly edited, sterile sounding death metal records of today, according to a press release. The album's macabre cover artwork was designed by Colin Marks of Rain Song.
