AC/DC: BON SCOTT Celebration Concerts Raise Extra Money For Music Industry Charity
May 17, 2007According to Australia's The Age, the Bon Scott celebration concerts in AC/DC Lane and Perth not only raised enough money for a statue of the Australian music legend, an additional $50,000 was donated to the Australian music industry charity, Support Act Limited.
As previously reported, AC/DC's classic song "Highway to Hell" has been nominated in the "Most Performed Australian Work Overseas" category at the 25th Australian Performing Rights Association (APRA) awards.
The 20,000 members of APRA will decide the winners of the awards honoring songwriters. The ceremony will be held on June 5 in Melbourne.
