As previously reported, an AC/DC from Western Australia has arranged several events as a tribute to late AC/DC singer Bon Scott, who died in February 1980 after choking on his own vomit following a night out.
On February 19, at the Fremantle Cemetry there will be a memorial service held at Bon's plaque in the memorial Gardens near the corner of Carrington St and Leach Highway. At 12 noon there will a pipes and drums band that will march down from the main car park through the graves to Bon's plaque, Once there they will play a medley of Scottish tunes relating to Bon's time in the Fremantle Pipe band. Celebrity guests and media have been invited. Later that night at the Leopold Hotel on Canning Highway Bicton there will be a tribute concert performed by RIFF RAFF. Doors open at 7 pm $20 on the night or $15 before (available through the drive-thru bottle shop).
