ALL THAT REMAINS Frontman Issues Post-U.S. Tour Update
March 10, 2008Vocalist Phil Labonte of Massachusetts metallers ALL THAT REMAINS has posted the following message regarding the band's just-completed headling tour alongside CHIMAIRA, BLACK TIDE, LIGHT THIS CITY and DIVINE HERESY:
"So I'm taking a few min before it gets crazy to sit and think about how amazing this tour has been and how lucky I am to have such amazing people working with me. Beau, our tour manager/lighting director: We've never had a more professional guy at the helm. He's made us look huge every night. He's made all our jobs so much easier and he's a great guy. I've talked about dudes. He's a dude. Our front of house sound man John, we have NEVER sounded better. He's so good at his job and he's such a fun great guy. Casey, our guitar tech: He's been with us a while and he's the guy who keeps our gear together. Without him we couldn't play. Period. Recon, our drum tech: Jason has never been in such good hands. And he's always super helpful to the band. French Fry, our production assistant. He's a great kid and he has a great future. This was his first tour and he did an awesome job. Shankies, our merch guy: He's Canadian, from Regina and he probably works harder and parties harder than anyone on the tour. Jeremy Saffer, our photographer: He's got an amazing eye and he's such a great guy. These people have made this tour so cool for ATR. So thanks so much for working with us and helping us make this tour happen and one of the best tours we've ever done.
"Now, don't think it stops there. The other bands have been amazing. CHAMAIRA is such a great bunch of dudes, their crew is extremely professional and they put on an amazing show. We're lucky to have them be a part of our tour. The guys in BLACK TIDE are great and they are gonna be a HUGE band. They are all really young dudes and they have an extremely bright future. If you haven't heard em check 'em out. DIVINE HERESY was awesome to have with us for a while. I've been a fan of Dino since I was getting started in music. It's so cool to be able to tour with a guy I've looked up to for years. And of course our label mates LIGHT THIS CITY. If you haven't checked them out go do it. Vicious metal! Thanks to everyone who was a part of this tour.
"Thanks to everyone who came out to shows. We have had such an amazing turnout every night. This band has kinda turned into a 'shut up and hold on' kinda thing. I really feel so lucky. Thanks for the cook out in San Antonio. Thanks to all the people who came early for the meet 'n greets. Thanks for all the people who were down front singing along. Thanks for everything. You guys have made my life amazing. ATR is just gettin' started so thank you and get ready for new music this summer!!"
