ALTER BRIDGE Tour Dates Revealed

August 30, 2007

The Pulse of Radio (formerly Launch Radio Networks) reports: ALTER BRIDGE has announced its first round of tour dates in support of the band's upcoming second album, "Blackbird". The trek starts on October 2 in Tallahassee, Florida, with dates confirmed through October 21 and more on the way. ALTER BRIDGE will preview the tour with a show in the band's hometown of Orlando, Florida on September 14. Guitarist Mark Tremonti told The Pulse of Radio that fans will hear and see a more confident and powerful band both live and on CD. "We have had three years to really gel as a band and one of the big differences is gonna be hearing another layer, another — it's almost like we added another member with Myles (Kennedy, singer)," he said. "Our secret weapon is that nobody realizes that Myles is a top-notch guitar player that didn't play on the first record and hardly played live. And now we're gonna have that whole other layer added to the band, which makes it exciting for us because it's something that we've never had before."

The first single from "Blackbird", called "Rise Today", is featured in the background of CBS-TV's new promos for the fall season of "CSI: Miami".

"Blackbird" will follow up the band's 2004 debut, "One Day Remains".

Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips were all previously in CREED, while Kennedy sang for the MAYFIELD FOUR.
