AMON AMARTH Comic Series Part 1 Online
June 18, 2008In support of the upcoming, as-yet-untitled AMON AMARTH album, Metal Blade Records has commissioned well-known artist Lucio Parrillo to draw up an eight-page AMON AMARTH comic. The story of the comic is based upon the twilight of the thundergod and includes everything a fine bloodshed is supposed to have. The comic strip is included for free in several metal magazines all over Europe in four, two or one issues. Click here for a full listing of the magazines that are carrying the comic. Meanwhile, the first two pages of the comic have been posted online at this location.
AMON AMARTH entered Fascination Street Studio in rebro, Sweden on May 1 to begin recording its seventh full-length album for a late 2008 release via Metal Blade Records. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Guardians of Asgaard", "Live for the Kill" and "Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags".
Nick Ruskell of Kerrang! magazine caught up with AMON AMARTH at this year's Download festival, which was held June 13-15 at Donington Park, Leicestershire, UK. Watch the three-minute chat below.
