AMORAL: 'Keeping Busy, Just Like We Like It'

December 4, 2006

Finnish melodic death metallers AMORAL are scheduled to enter Sound Supreme studio in Hämeenlinna, Finland in February 2007 to begin recording their new album, tentatively due next summer. "[We are] writing, arranging and rehearsing non-stop at the moment, as well as working on the cover art (with our main man, Aki Siltala) and booking gigs for next year," the band writes on its web site. "So keeping busy, just like we like it...

"Our producer, Janne Saksa, dropped by our practice place last Sunday to say hi, check out the new tunes and tell us to write better ones. He already has lots of cool ideas. We're thrilled to get back to the studio with the guy! Looks like the actual recordings will start February 12th, so we have a little more time to practice.

"For the very first time we're actually demoing the new songs with the whole band (usually it's just guitars over programmed drums and bass),just so see how they work out."

AMORAL will embark on a short Italian tour in early February. The band's second full-length effort, "Decrowning", was released in the U.S. in March via Candlelight Records USA. The CD is available in Europe on Spikefarm Records.

AMORAL signed a deal with Spikefarm in July 2004 following their split with the U.K.'s Rage of Achilles.
