10 YEARS: 'We Are Reaching Places With These New Songs That We Have Never Been'

December 4, 2006

Knoxville, Tennessee's 10 YEARS has commenced the songwriting process for its sophomore CD, tentatively due next year. "We are about two months away from officially starting to record our second album and with around 10-12 songs under our belt already we couldn't be feeling any better," the group writes on its MySpace page. "We are reaching places with these new songs that we have never been and it feels really, really good. There is a new and really refreshing energy surrounding the new material and these songs really feel like they were made to play in front of people. Being home around family, friends, and even our pets has really been inspiring."

10 YEARS earlier in the year made an EP of four acoustic tracks available exclusively through the iTunes online music store. The digital EP includes unplugged versions of the band's first rock radio hit, "Wasteland", as well as their latest single, "Through the Iris".

10 YEARS' debut release, "The Autumn Effect", has sold more than 350,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The group made its arena tour debut as the opening act for KORN and MUDVAYNE.
