ANCESTRAL, SUPREMACY Confirmed For Next Year's HEADBANGERS OPEN AIR Festival

July 23, 2007

Italy's ANCESTRAL and Australia's SUPREMACY are the first confirmed bands for the 2008 installment of the Headbangers Open Air festival, which is scheduled to take place in Brande-Hörnerkirchen, Germany. The exact dates for the event have not yet been announced.

The tenth edition of the Headbangers Open Air festival took place July 12-14 in Brande-Hörnerkirchen, Germany and was billed as "the biggest garden party in the world." The venue was the yard of a burnt down and restored farm in the German countryside, where festival promoters Thomas Tegelhütter opens his garden every year for the metal hordes. The theme of this year's show was "The Garden Burns!"

The festival, co-sponsored by Rock Hard magazine, regularly sells out with thousands of metalheads attending each year.
