ANGEL DUST Announce New Bassist

March 14, 2006

German power metallers ANGEL DUST have announced the addition of bassist Christian Pohlmann to the group's ranks. Based out of Essen, Germany, Pohlmann joins the band as the replacement for Frank Banx, who left the group in October 2003.

ANGEL DUST recently recruited ex-EVERFLOW vocalist Carsten Kaiser as the replacement for the band's previous singer, Dirk Thurisch. The group are scheduled to enter the studio this month to begin recording the follow-up to 2002's "Of Human Bondage". According to guitarist Bernd Aufermann (also of RUNNING WILD),the new material will be a return to the sound on ANGEL DUST's "Enlighten the Darkness" album (released in 2000). "I'm VERY satisfied with the way the guitar will approach in the music and the material is, in my opinion, the best we'd ever written," Bernd wrote in a recent online posting. A tentative late summer 2006 release is expected.
