ANGRA, KORZUS, VIPER Members To Take Part In 'Stay Heavy Metal Stars' Concert
March 24, 2007Members of ANGRA, TORTURE SQUAD, KORZUS, TUATHA DE DANANN, VIPER, DR. SIN, ANCESTTRAL, SHADOWSIDE, KING BIRD, MONSTER, GENOCIDIO, THREAT, HENCEFORTH, ANDRALLS, SUNSETH MIDNIGHT, MINDFLOW, KRUSADER, HARD ROCKET and SCARS will take part in the second annual "Stay Heavy Metal Stars", a concert featuring some of the most prominent Brazilian heavy metal musicians performing heavy metal classics on one stage. Other artists/personalities who have confirmed their participation in the event — which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 1 at Blackmore Rock Bar in São Paulo (SP) — include Mário Pastore (DELPHT, ex-TAILGUNNES, ACID STORM) and Nando Fernandes (HANGAR, CAVALO VAPOR),Fernando Schaefer (ENDRAH, KIKO LOUREIRO, ex-RODOX, TRETA, KORZUS),Vitão Bonesso ("Backstage" radio show) and Nando Lima (MASSACRATION). The concert will also include a special tribute to the band STRESS, whose self-titled debut album — widely considered to be the first heavy metal album to be released in Brazil — came out 25 years ago (in 1982). The entire event will be filmed by the makers of the documentary "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey" for their follow-up film, "Global Metal", which will explore the global spread of heavy metal music and culture.
