ANTHRAX Guitarist Is Looking Forward To DIMEBAG Tribute Jam

January 16, 2007

ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian has issued the following update:

"Did you watch the Season 6 premiere of '24'? Holy crap!! I didn't think they could ever top Jack Bauer decapitating a guy in Season 2 but I gotta say that the 'ripping-the-guy's-jugular-out-with-his-teeth' scene to escape the terrorists was enough to make me stand up and clap. Jack must have been watching 'Dawn Of The Dead' in Chinese prison. The show just gets better and better. It was torturific!

"I went to [see '80s metal tribute band] METAL SKOOL last night for the first time in a few months and it was insane as usual. I was with Pearl [Aday, Scott's fiancee and Meat Loaf's daughter] and John Tempesta [THE CULT/ex-ROB ZOMBIE drummer] and his lady Tracy and Aaron Douglas (Chief from 'Battlestar Galactica'!). They've really upped the boob quantity. So many topless girls. And they've brought the stripper pole back! They've been sold out every Monday in Hollywood going on 7 years now.

"I'm getting ready for the drinkathon that is the NAMM show this weekend. I guess that's the only way people can get through the world's biggest music store, drunk.

"I'm looking forward to the [Dimebag tribute] jam Saturday night. I can't believe we've got Ripper [ex-JUDAS PRIEST/current ICED EARTH singer Tim 'Ripper' Owens] singing with us. I'm going to film as much as I can for Black13 [Ian's online TV show]."

Scott Ian is scheduled to take part in the next Rock 'n Roll Fantasy Camp (RRFC),which will take place in Los Angeles Feb. 15-19, 2007 (President's Day weekend). Other musicians slated to participate include Paul Stanley (KISS),Mickey Hart (GRATEFUL DEAD),Bret Michaels (POISON),Steve Vai and Jane Wiedlin (GO-GO'S).
