ARCH ENEMY Frontwoman: Australia 'Kicked Our Asses'
November 9, 2005ARCH ENEMY frontwoman Angela Gossow has posted the following message on the group's official web site:
"Just completed our first tour of Australia, and it's been so much fun! About time we made the trip down here, huh? This is actually the first time we visit a new country in quite a while on our tours. We had no idea that the fans were so great here and that we’d have almost 1,500 ARCH ENEMY maniacs in Sydney for instance… Brisbane and Melbourne kicked our asses too!
"The weather is fantastic and we have all enjoyed our first time here. Did quite a bit of sightseeing. Beautiful nature, impressive architecture... I am demanding that we come back in 2006! A big THANK YOU to all the OZ metalheads — YOU ROCK!"

As previously reported, ARCH ENEMY have recruited Fredrik Åkesson as a replacement for Chris Amott (guitar) for the continued "Doomsday Machine" touring campaign. Åkesson has lent his awesome guitar talent to such varied artists such as TALISMAN, JOHN NORUM, KRUX, TIAMAT and his own (now defunct) group, SOUTHPAW.
ARCH ENEMY's latest album, "Doomsday Machine", entered the official German Top 100 chart at position No. 34. The CD was co-produced by the band and Rickard Bengtsson at Slaughterhouse Studio in Sweden and was mixed by Andy Sneap at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, U.K.
