ARMY OF ANYONE Members 'Never Say Never' About STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Reunion

Launch Radio Networks reports: In an interview this week with Jam! Music, ARMY OF ANYONE bassist Robert DeLeo echoed comments made a few days ago by VELVET REVOLVER singer Scott Weiland about the possibility of playing together again in STONE TEMPLE PILOTS. When asked whether he could envision an STP reunion down the line, DeLeo said, "I never say never. I don't think there was ever a specific end to STONE TEMPLE PILOTS...whether it was for VELVET REVOLVER or for himself, I'm happy (Weiland)'s got his life together. I think there's a better relationship now that we're not in a band."

Robert DeLeo added that he and his brother, former STP guitarist Dean DeLeo, are happy with their new situation, saying, "We're starting on the ground floor all over again and we want to work this thing up."

In an interview at his MySpace page, Weiland said about a possible STP reunion, "Every shelf needs two bookends," but declined to elaborate further. Weiland is now sober but his constant drug arrests ultimately contributed to the group's dissolution several years ago.

Although STP didn't end on an amicable note, Dean DeLeo told Launch late last year that the members are all friendly now. "Oh man, everything's fine, you know," he said. "We don't see very much of one another, we — Eric (Kretz, STP drummer) got married a couple of months back, and it was cool 'cause it was the first time the four of us were in a room together in probably five years, you know. And it was real nice seeing one another and hanging out and, yeah, everything's cool, man, you know."

Weiland is currently working on VELVET REVOLVER's sophomore album, tentatively titled "Libertad", as well as his second solo effort.

ARMY OF ANYONE is headlining the 2007 Sno-Core Tour, which will kick off on January 18 in Houston, Texas. The band's self-titled debut album arrived on November 14.
