ASSASSIN: New Song Posted Online

September 24, 2008

Reactivated German thrashers ASSASSIN have released the brand new track "Breaking The Silence" via their MySpace page. According to the band, the song "shows the direction of the new material for the fourth album, planned to be released end of 2009. Back to the roots — old-school thrash with a modern touch!"

ASSASSIN earlier in the year announced the addition of bassist Michael Hambloch to the group's ranks.

ASSASSIN's first official video, for the song "Assassin", featuring live footage shot during 2005-2007, can be viewed below.

ASSASSIN is:

Robert Gonnella (Vocals)
Michael Hoffmann (Guitar)
Jürgen "Scholli" Scholz (Guitar)
Frank Nellen (Drums)
Michael Hambloch (Bass)

The band in February posted the song "Satan Dies In Hell" on the group's MySpace page. This track is taken from the legendary session demo tape CHECKERPATROL, featuring members of ASSASSIN and MAYHEM (Norway) plus Jon of Slayer magazine, recorded in ASSASSIN's rehearsal room back in the mid-'80s.
