At Home With KATAKLYSM

June 16, 2008

Germany's Metal Hammer will fly to Chicago this week to meet up with KATAKLYSM frontman Maurizio Iacono and film a segment that will appear on the free DVD included with every copy of an upcoming issue of the magazine. The segment will be called "At Home And On The Road With Kataklysm" and will feature footage of all four bandmembers in their homes as well as clips shot on the first three shows of the Summer Slaughter tour.

Commented Iacono: "I think its great that Metal Hammer proposed to do this; we feel honored. It puts the fans up close and personal to where we live and the band, so I think this is gonna be great! Looking forward to it. Then we gona hit the road with them and show them overseas what america is all about in the pit, which is the thing we're looking the most forward too. We are ready and the setlist kills."

KATAKLYSM's new album, "Prevail", has registered the following European first-week chart positions:

Germany #38
Austria: #44
Switzerland: #83

As previously reported, "Prevail" sold 2,250 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD, which was mixed at AudioHammer Studios in Orlando, Florida with producer Jason Suecof, features guest solo appearances by Pat O'Brien (CANNIBAL CORPSE),Dave Linsk (OVERKILL) and producer and guitar shredder Jason Suecof himself. "Prevail" also includes a bonus DVD with a full performance recorded from a live Internet concert stream at DeepRockDrive studios in Las Vegas, NV on December 3, 2007.
