ATTACKER To Guest On 'The Metal Warriors' Radio Show

September 26, 2008

New Jersey metallers ATTACKER will be interviewed this coming Thursday, October 2 between 10 p.m and 2 a.m. on "The Metal Warriors" show on 91.7 FM in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The program is hosted by Tony The Metal God. Listen online at this location.

ATTACKER has been confirmed for the fourth installment of the British Steel Festival, set to take place April 4, 2009 at the Underworld club in Camden, London, England. Also scheduled to appear are CLOVEN HOOF, ELIXIR, BITCHES SIN and CELTIC LEGACY.

ATTACKER recently posted photos of the band's current lineup, including new vocalist Walter Figueroa (formerly of SEVERED HAND),who replaced Bob Mitchell.

Figueroa did a stint as vocalist for 1980s metal cover band SMELL THE GLOVE (which features SEVEN WITCHES and current JOEY BELLADONNA guitarist Jack Frost). He has also been involved with hard rock band IMPRECARI and progressive rock/metal band PARADOX (New Jersey).

Walter Figueroa's influences include Geoff Tate, Rob Halford, Bruce Dickinson, and Tony Harnell. These influences can clearly be heard in Figueroa's soaring, powerful voice.

ATTACKER states: "Walter came down and did a fantastic job on the material, so we knew we had to look no further. We had several people recommend Walter to us and they were right on the money. We are all looking forward to working on our new album and hitting the stage as soon as possible."

Fan-filmed video footage of ATTACKER's (featuring Bob Mitchell) April 4, 2008 performance at the Keep It True festival in Germany can be viewed below (courtesy of "stoneagelightning").
