AXXIS Announces New Guitarist

January 19, 2007

German metallers AXXIS have announced the addition of guitarist Marco Wriedt to the group's ranks.

Commented keyboardist Harry Oellers: "As Marco arrived in the studio, I thought Walter (original AXXIS guitar player) is back! We sent him all of our actual songs and he played everything perfectly!"

Added vocalist Bernhard Weiß: "This guy is 22 years old and very creative. We just let him play to our new production and it was ... awesome!"

EMI Electrola released the "Best Of" album from AXXIS last November.

EMI Electrola originally asked AXXIS for its co-operation in releasing a "best of" collection from the band several years ago, but the group was reluctant to release a compilation of material that was already available on the market. Featuring previously unreleased material, remixed songs, and special acoustic versions of older tracks recorded last at Soundworxx studio, "Best Of" is a double CD containing ballads on the first disc and acoustic recordings on the second disc.
