BAL-SAGOTH Working On 'Very Dark' New Album

April 24, 2003

BAL-SAGOTH are entering the "most intensive phase" of the songwriting process for their sixth album, according to an update posted on the web site of the band's record company, Nuclear Blast Records. "The band plan to complete the writing by mid to late summer, and then the preliminary recording process will begin once everything is 100% finalized. In keeping with the dark and sinister subject matter of the new album, the musical compositions are shaping up to be very dark indeed, reflecting the malevolent thematic nature of the new stories perfectly. A definite release date has not yet been finalized, but BAL-SAGOTH plan to embark upon a European tour when the opus is released later this year, returning to the European mainland for the first time since 2001."
