BLOODSIMPLE To Record New Album In The Summer
May 9, 2006BLOODSIMPLE guitarist Mike Kennedy (ex-VISION OF DISORDER) has issued the following update:
"We are home and I'm writing to your from good ol' crooklyn NY. Working out some mean material for the new record. The new tunes are sounding killer so far and we should be hitting the studio in the summer to start tracking 'em.
"All of June we'll be in Europe fucking up the metal festivals and scaring the shit outta ALICE IN CHAINS fans during the AIC/STONE SOUR shows. Those are gonna be killer. Just to be on the same billing with the omnipontent ALICE IN CHAINS is an honor. Plus I hear Duff McKagan (GUNS N' ROSES) is playing rhythm guitar. Holy shit!!! I hear he owns like 10 percent of Starbucks. Maybe he can get us free coffee to cure the impending hangovers we are facing on that one."
BLOODSIMPLE feature in their ranks former members of VISION OF DISORDER, DOWNSET and MEDICATION. The group's debut album, "A Cruel World", was released in March 2005 on MUDVAYNE singer Chad Gray's Bullygoat label imprint (via Warner Bros.). The CD was recorded in Vancouver B.C. with producer Garth Richardson, who has previously worked with RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, MUDVAYNE, SLIPKNOT and CHEVELLE. The album was mixed by Mike Fraser (HATEBREED).
