BORN FROM PAIN Parts Ways With Drummer, Announces Replacement

February 9, 2010

Dutch hardcore metallers BORN FROM PAIN have parted ways with drummer Roy Moonen and have replaced him with Igor Wouters (ex-BACKFIRE!). The band states, "We have been practicing together and came to the conclusion that we are all looking forward to touring and writing a new record together. We are very enthusiastic about the addition of Igor since he is a very talented drummer, songwriter and a good guy.

"Roy has decided that it is time for him to move on and broaden his horizons. He will be taking a break from heavy music and do different musical things."

Wouters will join BORN FROM PAIN from April onwards. Serch from THE SETUP will be helping BORN FROM PAIN out on drums during March.

BORN FROM PAIN's "Sons Of A Dying World" video can be viewed below. The track comes off the band's most recent album, "Survival", which was released in Europe on November 3, 2008 via Metal Blade Records. The CD is said to be "musically [as] uncompromising as ever with an own twist in groove, melody, heaviness and harshness. Lyrically, [it is] more than ever making a critical and uncompromising stand concerning the state of the world today."
