Brazilian FAITH NO MORE Tribute Available For Free Download

June 22, 2004

27 bands have recorded versions of FAITH NO MORE songs for a tribute called "Brazilian Sabor" (Brazilian Flavor) spearheaded by FNM fans who run a discussion list.

The bands are, for the most part, new and independent, but some major Brazilian acts like PITTY and AMBERVISIONS have also revisited FNM classics.

All the songs are available as free downloads. You only have to register at the discussion list or find Soulseek users hosting the files.

Former FAITH NO MORE bass player Billy Gould has reportedly given his stamp of approval to the tribute and sent the following letter to the Brazilian fans:

"To All Brazilian Fans, Que se pasa caras e gatas! This might sound like bullshit, but Brazil was one of FNM's favorite places to tour — the food is amazing, the land is unbelievably beautiful, but most of all, the people are probably the coolest and craziest in the world. We played some incredible shows there, had some really good times (one of our roadies lost their virginity to a monkey near Manaus). If anything could bring FNM back together, it would probably be a tour of Brazil, because it would be guaranteed to be fun.

"I would like to thank all of our fans, and the bands that contributed to 'Brazilian Sabor' for keeping FNM's spirit alive in Brazil (and the world!). You guys have an incredible loyalty. Now, please, one of you send me a copy of the record, so I can hear the fucker!!"

All information regarding the tribute may be found here. To download tracks or to listen to clips from the tribute, go to this location. The discussion list may be found here (all web sites are in Portuguese).
