BRIEF RESPITE Announces New Singer

Quebec, Canada-based technical death metal band BRIEF RESPITE has announced the addition of Peru-born Quebec-resident Roxana Bouchard as the group's new lead singer. According to a press release, "Roxana is well known on the Montreal music scene through her active work with Apocalypse Productions, as well as her music projects SOCIAL FICTION and VIRULYS. She boasts a strong stage presence and vocals that range from death and hardcore, to strong clean, all the way to classical and opera. All of which will be featured on the band's future work."

BRIEF RESPITE has been working on new material to follow up "Uneveness" (2007, Prodisk),to be released in 2009. Until then, Roxana will sing the band’s past classics during a series of gigs around the province. The group's next performance will be held in Montreal at Café Chaos on Saturday, August 30.
