BUCKCHERRY: A Look Back At 2006
December 25, 2006BUCKCHERRY has issued the following message via its MySpace page:
"It's the end of the year and Billboard just published their year-end charts. '15' [BUCKCHERRY's latest album] landed on the Billboard Top 200 year-end chart — something we didn't think was possible only a year ago.
"A lot has happened this year — with the help of our management company we released our record '15' independently through Eleven Seven Music. The album debuted in the top 50 of the Billboard Top 200 chart and was promptly upstreamed to Atlantic Records. '15' has remained on the Billboard Top 200 for 35 consecutive weeks. The album was certified gold by the RIAA, the ringtone for 'Crazy Bitch' was also certified gold by the RIAA and we were nominated for a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance for 'Crazy Bitch' which remains one of the most played songs at mainstream rock radio for the year.
"We've been on the road almost the entire time with just a few days back home in between tour legs. We've seen our audience grow throughout the year and love seeing new fans out there along with fans that have been with us since our self titled release.
"Thank you for coming to the shows and supporting our music! We couldn't do it without you. Thank you for knowing enough crazy bitches that you have to give them their own ringtones. Thanks for calling radio stations and requesting our songs. We can't wait to see you all out at our shows when we hit the road again next month (with THREE DAYS GRACE).
"In the meantime — if you live in Southern California — come see us at home at The Key Club in West Hollywood on Dec. 29 or at the Orange County New Year's Eve bash (www.ocnye.com) and celebrate."
