CHRIS CAFFERY Will Not Play For DORO On Upcoming Tour

January 12, 2008

SAVATAGE/TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA guitarist Chris Caffery, who has previously toured with DORO as a session musician, has issued the following update:

"I have been getting lots of mail about the upcoming DORO U.S. tour and my involvement. I will not be playing guitar on this tour. I mentioned to everyone in the beginning that I was filling in for Joe [Taylor] until he was ready to return and he will play the tour. Many of you were telling me you were waiting to purchase tickets 'till you knew what I was doing. I would hope you would still support DORO if I was not playing, she is an amazing performer and the band is great."

Chris Caffery's latest solo album, "Pins and Needles", was released in Europe in March 2007 via Metal Heaven Records. The CD arrived in North America on June 5 via Locomotive.

The follow-up to 2004's "Faces" and 2005's collection of bonus tracks and new compositions, "W.A.R.P.E.D.", "Pins and Needles" was originally scheduled to be released through Greece's Black Lotus Records, but after the company closed its doors in 2006, Caffery was forced to seek a new label home.

According to a press release, "Pins and Needles" features a "more powerful, aggressive, experimental and focused attack that is sure to catch the ears of any metal fan." The album was produced by Caffery together with Nik Chinboukas at Nik's Hot Tracks Studio, Spin Studios and Happy Beaver Studios, Astoria, NY.

Fan-filmed video footage of DORO (featuring Chris Caffery) performing the song "East Meets West" on June 21, 2007 at The Clubhouse in Tempe, Arizona can be viewed below.
