CITY OF FIRE To Film New Video In Toronto

September 17, 2011

CITY OF FIRE, the band featuring Burton C. Bell (FEAR FACTORY),bassist Byron Stroud (FEAR FACTORY, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD),guitarist Terry "Sho" Murray, and drummer Bob Wagner, entered The Factory studios in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada earlier in the month to begin recording material for its sophomore album. The group is now heading to Toronto to shoot a video for one of the new songs with director Cody Calahan, who previously co-created, produced and directed a pilot for a television show called "The Rusty Kitchen".

Funding for the new CITY OF FIRE CD was aided by the PledgeMusic.com project, which encourages fans to contribute funds to the recording of albums and the artists themselves to donate to charity as a part of their fundraising.

The pledge campaign will continue for another three weeks to secure funding for final mixes.

The response to PledgeMusic.com campaign has been very positive from the fans. The band is currently at 194 percent of its goal, with over 70 pledges.

40 different portals, web sites and blogs have mentioned the campaign.

Recorded at renowned Factory Studios in Vancouver in late 2008 with additional material completed in April 2010, CITY OF FIRE's self-titled debut CD featured fourteen songs, including remakes of THE CULT's "Rain" and T.REX's "Children Of The Revolution". It also includes the band's video for the song/single "Rising".
