CONFESSOR Begin Recording New Album

May 3, 2005

Vocalist Scott Jeffreys of the reunited progressive doom-metal legends CONFESSOR has sent the following update to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:

"CONFESSOR has just started recording for the full-length record, 'Unraveled'. We are currently laying down drum tracks at Osceola Studio in Raleigh, NC. with legendary producer Dick Hodgin (CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, HOOTIE AND THE BLOWFISH) and Grammy-nominated engineer Ian Schreier (ROOMFUL OF BLUES). We will be spending several weeks on drums and guitars and then move on to vocals for about 1 week. The recording should be wrapped up by the end of May."

As a precursor to the band's upcoming long player, "Unraveled", due out in early autumn, Season of Mist will release the limited edition CD-single, "Sour Times". Scheduled for a June release, this soon-to-be collector's item will mainly be made available for purchase to the die-hard fans. The release will contain two new songs — "Sour Times" and "Hibernation" — a radio edit of the title track plus a live video! Also included on the limited CD with be PC Interactive gems such as band photos, a screen saver and more. Listen to a sample of "Sour Times"here.

CONFESSOR, who are currently being represented by CORROSION OF CONFORMITY's former management company, split up in the early '90s after releasing one full-length album (1991's "Condemned") and EP (1992's "Confessor"),with the with the rhythm section going on to form FLY MACHINE. CONFESSOR reformed in 2002 following the death of guitarist Ivan Colon, who passed away due to cardiac complications.
