CORPUS MORTALE Continues Work On New Material

August 24, 2009

Danish extreme metallers CORPUS MORTALE have issued the following update:

"The plans for the months up to the [upcoming European] tour [with NILE, GRAVE, KRISIUN and ULCERATE in November/December] is to finish as many new tunes as possible. We have about half of the songs for the next album ready and more are on the way.

"We have set a 'loose' recording deadline for early next year but whether we'll make it time will tell — quality is more important than throwing half-hearted shit in your face, right?! Some titles for the next album will likely be: 'Feasting Upon Souls', 'Tempt Not The Knife', 'Enthralled'...

"Besides the tour we'll play some show in Denmark prior and after the tour. All these shows will include SPECTRAL MORTUARY and various local support bands like DISINTEGRATED and so on."

Regarding the band's upcoming tour with NILE, GRAVE, KRISIUN and ULCERATE, CORPUS MORTALE said in a statement, "We're, of course, very excited about this opportunity as we'll reach parts of Europe we've never been to before like Spain, Portugal and France as well as re-visiting some of the countries from the 2003 tour. Hell… We'll even get by a few of the same places we played last time, so it's going to be nice to return and fuck things up once again."

CORPUS MORTALE released its second full-length album, "A New Species of Deviant", in September 2007 via Neurotic Records. The CD features the artwork of the label's in-house artist Joel Sta.
